In Thunder Bay you may want to visit Old Fort William or view the Sleeping Giant from the Terry Fox Monument. Pick your own Amethyst at a mine. View Ouiment Canyon, a two-mile gorge, 350ft deep and 500ft across, cut into the volcanic rock of Lake Superior's Northern Shore. From Thunder Bay you will travel on Hwy. 11/17 to Nipigon where you turn North onto Hwy. 11
The Trans-Canada highway offers spectacular views as it winds along Lake Helen and towering Palisades. Have your camera ready for post-card perfect pictures!

The Pasha Lake area also has a few surprises for the explorer types. The area is rich in history. You will find abandoned Gold mines from days gone by.
