Picture of the Month - January 2002
The fish was caught on July 3rd, Gunnar's 9th Birthday. It was taken on a Lucky Strike Canoe spoon set at 20 feet only 5 minutes into our day's trolling on Nipigon. Gunnar was very excited and kept saying how the fish looked like a shark while it was in the water near the boat. I would guestimate that the fish was about 23 pounds. This was Gunnar's first large Laker. He hadn't showed much interest in fishing until our last couple trips to Pasha. Now he's got the fever. |
