Picture of the Month - February 2002

Jacob and John Marxhausen of Duluth MN proudly display these beautiful Lake Trout caught on January 19th. These fish were two of many Lakers caught during this group's annual trip. Brook trout and Splake were also large too! Lake trout fishing opens on January 1st in our region. Several of the fish have been over ten pounds.		Shane Bubacz of Duluth and Mike Swanson of Two Harbors show us merely two of the many nice brook trout they landed during their January stay. This picture was taken in the new heated shop in front of the winter fish cleaning area. The shop has been a big hit with our winter guests. Having a place to thaw out fish houses, snowmobiles and fishing equipment is a bonus.
