Ontario Winter Fishing Camp

Great Winter Fishing Steve Mathews 03-Mar-2003 Two friends and I went and stayed at Pasha Lake Cabins February 25 to March 1. First day: Got a late start, had snowmobile troubles right away, didn’t get fishing until 11 o’clock or so. Rolly landed a nice lake trout (8lbs), then Craig landed a nice 17lb laker half hour later. I had one nice fish come in and took a wack at my lure but did not hold on. We then came back to work on the snowmobile so we could go to Darrell’s secret splake lake. Found out that the ditch…

Ontario Trout Fishing

Darrell’s Trip to the Splake Lake Darrell Splett 11-Dec-2002 Darrell, Darrel, and Carl went to the Splake Lake. I arrived sooner than the other guys and drilled enough holes for the group. I proceeded to have the best hour of ice fishing I’ve ever had of any kind. First I dropped my lure with no bait on it to check the depth and had a hit immediately. I battled and lost the fish and then dropped it down again and caught a 4lb splake, then put my other rod down and before it even got set hooked a 6lb that…

Ontario Lodge with Lots of Walleyes

Lots of Walleyes Tony Brough 7-Sept-2005 With one more day of fishing, we already caught a ton of walleyes, had wonderful shore lunches, enjoyed the sauna prior to going to bed, watched a hunter bring in a 300 pound bear (or is it spelled beer). The only down side was my wife (1st time to Canada) had won $3 off of me by getting the 1st fish, the 1st walleye, and the largest walleye (a 5 pounder that I reluctantly netted for her). We were going to fish for some Northerns when Darrel talked us into the Jet boat trip…

Ontario Outpost Camps

Luxury Outpost on Northwind Lake Chad and Michelle, just a few pics I promised to send. I wanted you to know how much we enjoyed our trip to Pasha Lake. We started out with a day on the Jesse James fishing for Lakers and the bite was a little slow but the trip was worth it just to spend some time with the captain. We than headed to Northwind with boats loaded with more gear than we needed as at camp there was a much better set up than anyone expected. Started for walleye Monday evening and fished till Friday…

Ontario Snowmobile Trails Near Jellicoe Armstrong Nakina

Fantastic Snowmobiling John Remmel 16-Jan-2004 Having gone to Pasha Lake Cabins for the 4th consecutive winter, I thought it was about time to write in the “Brag Book”. Ironically, it’s really not bragging, rather it is simply a matter of telling the truth. To tell the truth, Pasha Lake Cabins has the best snowmobiling I have ever encountered. Once again this year (January 04) we had outstanding riding conditions even though there wasn’t a single inch of snow at home (Wis). Also, Darrell & Susie once again made our trip completely enjoyable, comfortable, and relaxing. As for the riding… You…

Ontario Splake Fishing

Remembering the day on Splake Lake Gary Rakestraw trip July-2008 Dear Chad & Michelle, Thanks for another fantastic week at Pasha Lake. We’ve had a lot of great days of Walleye fishing both at home as well as in Canada but never as fast and furious as our day on Jackson Lake or as many big fish as the ones we caught on Onaman. We’ll also be remembering the day on Splake Lake for a long time. Nothing can rip line from your reel like a Splake. The fishing seems to be getting better every year. See you next year,…

Ontario Trophy Walleye Fishing

Trophy Walleyes Randy Richert 4-July-2004 This was our third trip to Pasha, and we still had not landed a trophy walleye. We woke to a cloudy July 1st, got bait from Darrel and drove to our favorite walleye lake for a day of fun. We motored out to a small point less than 1/4 mile from the landing, killed the motor and tied jigs to the end of our lines. I helped my sixteen year old son Tim and my wife Deanne get their rigs ready, then turned my attention to my own fishing. I hooked a lively minnow on…
