Walleye Dream Trip (WDT) - Lake Nipigon

World Class Walleye Dream Trip (Jackfish River, Lake Nipigon): I was able to take the Walleye Dream trip with my father-in-law and his friends and it was better than advertised. We simply couldn’t believe the number and quality of the fish they caught (over 100 fish/person). Charlie (who has been taking 3-4 trips to Canada/year since 1974) said it was the best trip he has ever experienced and couldn’t imagine finding better walleye fishing anywhere. The fish ranged between 15 – 25.5 inches with 19-20 inches being the norm. Thanks again for an amazing experience!! Bryan Kofal – Hudson, WI…

Best Ice Fishing in Ontario

Best ice fishing we’ve ever had! Troy Bunes – March-2007 Our recent trip to Pasha Lake was the best ice fishing we’ve ever had! Day one, Chad took Brian Hanke to a secret trout lake. After a 20 minute snowmobile ride, they arrived, drilled some holes and within 2 minutes Brian landed the first of many splake. After two hours of fishing, both had a limit of splake and brook trout. They brought them back and Michelle made them an unforgettable splake meal on the grill!!!!!!! Day two, Josh Hanke and I arrived, and we all went back to the…

Ontario Trophy Walleye Fishing

Trophy Walleyes Randy Richert 4-July-2004 This was our third trip to Pasha, and we still had not landed a trophy walleye. We woke to a cloudy July 1st, got bait from Darrel and drove to our favorite walleye lake for a day of fun. We motored out to a small point less than 1/4 mile from the landing, killed the motor and tied jigs to the end of our lines. I helped my sixteen year old son Tim and my wife Deanne get their rigs ready, then turned my attention to my own fishing. I hooked a lively minnow on…

How to Clean Walleye

How to Clean Walleye: 1) Put your knife behind the fin with the blade pointing down. 2) Cut straight down to the backbone without cutting through the backbone, and then turn your knife sideways to point the blade towards the tail. 3) Now cut straight down the backbone to the tail. You will be cutting through thin bones, which we take out later. 4) Now you have the fillet sliced off the fish. The next step is to take out the rib cage. 5) Put your blade at the edge of the rib cage and slice along the rib cage…

Ontario Adventure Trips Adventure Vacations

Adventure Fishing Defined: Not talked about in magazines or highlighted on outdoor fishing shows is a style of fishing foreign to most. The method involves lots of planning, mud, bugs and a little bit of work. For those who have fished the Boundary Waters Canoe Area or Quetico, you know exactly what I am talking about. And while it’s not for everyone, anglers who accept the challenge are rewarded beyond comprehension. It’s called Adventure Fishing. It’s probably easier to start by explaining what Adventure Fishing is not. First, it is not a walk out on a dock, jump in a…
