Big Trophy Lake Nipigon Lakers

Big Lakers Andrew Moroff 9-June-2006 We visited last summer in July and chartered with Darren on the Jesse James. We caught some beautiful lakers. Here is a picture of Linda McDonald from Grand Marais with the biggest laker she has ever caught! Darren is a great captain and works hard to find the fish. We hope to return some day for the brookie fishing. Note: we also went on the walleye river trip with captain Bob and yes, we caught lots of fish! Thanks Andy Moroff

Ontario Winter Fishing Camp

Great Winter Fishing Steve Mathews 03-Mar-2003 Two friends and I went and stayed at Pasha Lake Cabins February 25 to March 1. First day: Got a late start, had snowmobile troubles right away, didn’t get fishing until 11 o’clock or so. Rolly landed a nice lake trout (8lbs), then Craig landed a nice 17lb laker half hour later. I had one nice fish come in and took a wack at my lure but did not hold on. We then came back to work on the snowmobile so we could go to Darrell’s secret splake lake. Found out that the ditch…

Bringing Guns into Ontario Gun Register Forms

Bringing a firearm into Canada? The rules changed January 1, 2001. Here are the answers to some of your questions… How will this change in regulations affect me? You will have to fill out a Non-Resident Firearm Declaration Form, unless you already have a five-year possession and acquisition license. The form will be your temporary firearms license while you are in Canada, and it is valid for 60 days (for a non-restricted firearm). To avoid delays, we advise that you fill it out before coming to the border. Where can I get a copy of the form? Forms are available…

March Ice Fishing in Ontario

Fantastic Ice Fishing Mitch and Lewis Lawler 24-Mar-2004 Lewis and I (brothers) went up to Pasha Lake twice this year. The first trip was from the end of December ’03 thru January ’04, and the second trip was for a week in March ’04. Both times fishing and snowmobiling were our purpose for the trip, and both times, they were the best we’ve ever experienced. The first trip it was colder with temps in the -10’s in the morning into the 10’s in the afternoon. Lots of sun all day, every day. Walleyes were jumping out of the holes and…
