Ontario’s Best Walleye Fishing Lakes

Lots of Walleyes Gary Hamlin 9-Aug-2004 This story is going to sound a little “fishy” to most of you. Darrell took myself and three friends out for a day of fishing. I had heard the stories of his favorite spot, but we were not prepared for the numbers of fish we caught. We were on this spot for about 4.5 hours of fishing, the total number of walleyes caught was 491. Darrell took 150, I took 135, Jeff took 106, and John took 100. That adds up to the greatest day of fishing any of us has ever had. Thanks…

Spring Break Walleyes Lewis and Mitch Lawler, Brett Nelson, Ryan Allen 31-Mar-2005 Spring Break 2005, What a trip! It seems like every time we come up here, Darrell and Susie make it harder and harder to leave. Their kindness and helping hands are always appreciated. It was one of the funniest times any of us have ever experienced. The Duluth/Superior area has some fun things, but nothing like up here. The snow was as deep as ever, and temps were perfect. Best Fishing Lakes in Canada

Passion for Pasha by Chris Granrud How is that for a backdrop for your fishing adventure!! When a guy spends nearly each and every day either on the water, or in the woods it clearly takes a very special place to motivate him enough to pack his bags during the month of September. I’d been talking with Chad online from Pasha Lake for over a year through the medium of In Depth Outdoors. It was not only the fishing opportunities, but a Canadian bear hunt that had both my dad and I losing countless hours of sleep in our anticipation…

6 Reasons to think twice about Fly-in Fishing vs. drive-to fishing camps

6 Reasons to think twice about Fly-in Fishing When we think of “fly-in” fishing, visions of distant Canadian Shield lakes with rustic cabins and isolation come to mind.   Steeped in many years of tradition, it’s a widely held belief that flying into a remote lake equals great fishing.  That may be true, but what if you didn’t have to fly in order to have tremendous fishing? With today’s economic times deeply ingrained into our pocketbooks, we are seeing a paradigm shift in the way people look at Canadian fishing vacations.  Now more than ever, like so many other things, price…
